Scott Hunter Ross received his undergraduate degree in 1975, magna cum laude, from Seattle University after service in the U.S. Marine Corps. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1979.

Mr. Ross, a founding partner of Circuit, McKellogg, Kinney & Ross, LLP, has an emphasis in his practice in the defense of civil litigation matters arising in the areas of breach of contract, construction defect, wrongful termination, lender liability, fraud, real estate transactions, personal injury, unfair competition, trade secret, copyright, and insurance-related cases, including life, casualty, bad faith, and availability of insurance coverage. He represents the interests of national and international companies and insurance carriers, and has successfully tried cases in state and federal courts. He has also represented a number of high-profile clients in family law matters, including complex dissolution of marriage proceedings.

Mr. Ross is a member of the American, San Diego County, and La Jolla Bar Associations, the State Bar of California, Consumer Attorneys of San Diego and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel. He is admitted to practice before all California state courts, as well as the Federal District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern Districts of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Ross is an active supporter of various charitable causes, including serving on the Board of the National Leukemia Televant, and was a member of The Century Club of San Diego, which sponsors the Buick Invitational, San Diego's annual PGA TOUR event at Torrey Pines. He is an avid golfer and poker player, and captained a San Diego County Bar Association softball team for 10 years.

Mr. Ross and his family live in the Olivenhain area.
